WOYWW Helper Cat!

This isn’t exactly my every day work desk, but I often work on the dinning room table when extra space is needed, except today…..it seems to be occupied!

IMG_1556 By…ta da…..Mister Al cat…..who muscled his way into the basket and shoved the hydrangeas aside.  I couldn’t resist sharing this photo of helper cat!

On my really workdesk it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  I am getting some goodies ready for a local Christmas art sale.

Earlier this year, I found 24 of these tin Christmas light reflectors at a flea market.  So, with the help of a little alcohol ink they, now,  look like this………..

IMG_1528

I’ve collaged some pictures to the back of glass nuggets and added lace and papers to turn them into refrigerator magnets, tree ornament and/or even a brooch or two………..like this….

IMG_1531 or this…..

IMG_1533

I’m just getting started……have a few more started but I’m a long way from finished!

IMG_1535 I’d better get to work!  Now, is a good time for you to go off to visit all the other workdesk of artist around the world at Julia's Stamping Ground What's on you Workdesk Wednesday.

I’m, also, going to a place I haven’t been in a while, Debra's Common Ground Vintage Inspiration Friday.   I love this party, you will too……so much talent in one place…it is amazing!

Wow they look fabulous - I love little finds like that in a flea market - such fun. Have a great week.

Our little helpers do like to get in on the action, don’t they? You may have seen BoJangles on my desk last week, hogging the photo.

What a great find were the metal bits from the tree lights. You’ve done a fab job of altering them and I bet they well sell well at the art sale.

Happy Crafting!

What an amazing transformation!!! These turned out so great! You are inspiring me to get up and move my bootie!!! I do sometimes find things that I can recycle like this, but I don't have a fine toothed eye, like you...I must get out there and really try harder!!!

Just what is it about cats? They have to be in the middle of everything you're doing! Very funny picture, and I really like those reflectors with the alcohol ink on them.

Oh, your helper cat is so funny and cute. I can see he's a huge help, lol.

I love the reflectors now that you've worked your magic on them! And the glass jewel/globs, what a great idea, you are so creative.

I also thoroughly enjoyed your earlier post on your completed book, what a fascinating array of artistic talents all put together. Just lovely.

First thing first. That cat? So darn cute, honestly! I'm glad you shared that picture with us. Secondly....being the Christmas person I am I think what you did with those light relectors is so very creative and they turned out wonderful!!!! You get the Elf stamp of approval right there! If you wish...you can pick it up on my sidebar. The purpose of the stamp is to share the Chrismtas spirit this Holiday Season! Thanks for the visit and have a great week!

Oooh I love what you're doing with the glass nuggets and light reflectors! They are so beautiful! And kitties... they DO love to help, don't they! Most of the time I think it's because they like getting photographed, though! It's a good thing they don't charge us commission! Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #84

Yes, Poodie is an Oregon kitty. Yes, Stephanies class is online. $40 for 1 week of lots and lots of videos. I took from her at some lady's house a few years back...then I took a big online class with her, then her books, I guess you'd say I'm a big fan.lol

Cats! They always want to sit exactly there where you don't really want them (but that's kinda why I like them too, they just don't care about anybody's opinion). Love your christmas stuff. Very pretty.

Not only is the kitty being helpful, but he has found a new place to sleep! My cat loves finding new places to sleep. The best places to sleep are on top of important things the humans need, like purses and keys!

I agree, cats always want to be in the middle of the busiest are. Ours always used to rush to sit on my lap when I had a complex bit of knitting to be done. Those light reflectors look absolutely great.
