For some time, now, I have been admiring the monthly journal pages posted on the wonderful blog “The Kathryn Wheel”.
I haven’t participated because I don’t follow her recommended format of using “tidy” squares in which you write your daily activities…..but this month I am throwing caution to the wind and jumping in! If you, dear reader, have an interest in journaling you will find a ton of inspiration if you go HERE!
I have kept a journal for a few years now. I started with a garden journal and have progressed to a very messy, but interesting, everything journal!!! I mean everything, this is my art journal, my daily journal, my list making and idea journal, as well as, a record of daily coming and goings!
The other thing I don’t do that Kathryn recommends is journal on facing pages….so, I am a rule breaker….big time! March just happens to be on facing pages, like this….
An example of “notes to self”……these are some ideas I’ve had for adding color to my garden…….
you get the idea….this is some of the stuff I keep in this journal.
Because this is my first time joining this monthly journaling event…..I’ll share January (not facing pages) spread with you and February (facing pages), too.
Thanks for inviting me….I look forward to seeing all of your journal pages!

Wonderful pages and who cares if you break the rules - there ARE no rules in journalling and I love what you do. A journal should be a work in progress an yours certainly is - lovely, lovely work and great to have you taking part x
These are wonderful. I love that you break the rules and make these journals your own. So much more fun than what I've been making.
Rules "what rules"!?! I very seldom follow rules...hehehe. I love your journal and what fun to go back and read. Now I am off to see where you are in the PNW.
I realy like your pages, your journal is going to be fantastic.
Big love
AJ
Gorgeous pages...seems so complex, but yet if done daily, would add up to such lovliness as this! One day I am gonna start!!! I swear!!! The urge is there, but...no time yet....I can hardly wait!!! I could look at your dreamy pages forever!!!
I've seen Elizabeth's journal and actually commented I might join for next year. You can start in the middle of a year?? a revolutionary thought for a fellow rule breaker! lol I'm off to check out the Kathryn Wheel!
I love your journal!!!! One day I hope I will work on a journal like you!!!!
These ROCK! I love them. I agree with the format being tidy as I'm a messy art journaler too. But I enjoy the structure of it too as one page of my journal. I really like the way you have incorporated both. LOVE!
We like a rule breaker! In fact I don't think there are meant to be any rules - to me, its a 'let your own style show through' challenge! And your style is wonderfully different! Your pages look amazingly full of LIFE :D
I didn't quite follow the rules either :) I think whatever is workable can pass :) Love your pages!
I don't think there are any rules at all a girl just does what she feels and your pages are fantastic, so different and refreshing, lovely to see someone standing outside the box so to speak
Those are way cool! I feel like I need to sit down with a cup of chai and really look at what you have there (if only you were here!) -- it's so juicy and dimensional in every whichaway.
Welcome to the challenge. I love the way you work with your own designs and ideas. I want to start a journal in May to record my 50th year, you blog has given me lots of inspiration.
SO glad you've joined-as Katharine Hepburn said "obey all the rules, you miss the fun" love your fun and funky pages!
Perfect! I have pretty much decided that as far as art and creativity and challenges go, it's a starting point. We get to do what we want and what works for us...I love seeing how it works for everyone else. So glad you joined in!!
Hey, your journal is yours...go forth and break rules.lol
I love your pagers, real art journaling.
Hey there are no rules to this challenge at all!! Everyone does things differently - it's whatever works best for you :-) I love your freestyle way of doing things. Welcome to the challenge!
