Spotted at our backyard bird feeder.......
.....this beautiful Varied Thrush. Native to the Northwest this beautiful orange and dark grey bird was feeding in our backyard last week along with the Bushtits, Juncos, Scrub Jay, Doves and Robins.
The fog is slowly lifting from my head cold/virus thing, thankfully I think it is going to go somewhere else to live. So, I've done a little sketching and watercolor play.
Butterflies and quotes, two of my favorite things.
May add some color to this later today.
Hope you are having a lovely Valentine's Day with those you love!

Beautiful bird; thank you for sharing - great photo. Love your sketches - I'm a huge butterfly fan. xo
I had to look twice at the bird ...thought it was just a robin at first glance.
Love the watercolor butterfly and quote.
The bird is beautiful and so are your sketches. I wish I had your talent!
What an impressive set of butterflies. Your art never ceases to amaze me.
I've never heard of that bird before. Guess they aren't around this part of the country. And I had to laugh at your snow photos. I think YOU got more than I did, and the final total for me was over 11 inches.
