Still making pages for my nature journal…….
This is another real butterfly, glued to a vintage map of Paris and a book index page. I added the envelope with the dictionary page of a butterfly and the cardboard tag for the finishing touch.
These are silica dried roses from my yard. They are fragile and I’m not sure what I’ll do with them but they are beautiful to look at!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

You amaze me and I love how your art is inspired from the beauty around your home. Sometime we just need to sit quietly in our backyards and enjoy all the loveliness around us. Thank you for sharing, Connie :)
Beautiful butterfly page!!! The silica did a nice job! I need to get some! Pretty fun! Thanks for your comment on my stitching...I am really enjoying it!
Where do you find real butterflies? I would not be able to catch and kill them. I'm sure you wouldn't either. I love the page, though. It is fantastic, as is the map of Paris.
I've never had good luck with silica and roses. I don't have the right roses, I guess. Yours look perfect, though, and I always love how silica allows you to keep the flower intact, as opposed to many other drying techniques.
Beautiful journal page. The silica dried roses are gorgeous as well. Maybe you could do some sort of shadow box assemblage with them. Then they could be behind glass.
Beautiful!
