Art Journaling Everyday

Well, here it is almost Friday, already, time to join up with the journalers at Julie Balzer’s Art Journal Everyday!

I’ve been playing with my food a lot, lately.  That’s because, in my world, there is such a wonderful abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables this time of year.  About three years ago, I planted four blueberry plants in my garden and this year they really produced….so, I journaled it………

I used, both, photos from a magazine ad and from photos that I took of my bumper crop of berries along with some beautiful gold tomatoes from the garden….blue and gold/orange, now, that is one of my favorite color combos!

IMG_2730 Some of what I’ve been doing this week in my journal when I wasn’t eating or picking blueberries.

We are so alkaline here. Luv blueberries. Saskatoons we got but they are not such a gorgeous blue.

I am glad I am enjoying my hand picked blueberries in my breakfast smoothie because your pages would make me hungry. So pretty blues and doodle flowers. xox

You have quite the bumper crop this year. I STILL haven't harvested anything, although I continue to see new flowers on my tomatoes, eggplant, and cantaloupe each day. At least nothing has died, except possibly a few herbs that just didn't survive after the hail storm. But thankfully, yours are doing quite well. It's fun to see how you have played with your food this year, from the first radish to these blueberries. Great for your art journal and our enjoyment, too.

What a tasty spread! If I had blueberries like that you bet I'd be journaling it! I've tried to grow fruits and veggies but after the 3 inch watermelon and the strawberries that even sugar couldn't make palatable, I have stuck to flowers.
