I feel guilty mentioning this.....but my crocus have pushed through the soggy soil and the little purple flowers are givin' it their all!
AND they are my favorite color combo....bluish purple with gorgeous orange stamen. It just makes my heart sing to look at them!
In January, I said I was going to attempt to be creative everyday in 2011. One of the ways I am encouraging that creativity is by starting a journal.......here is the cover.......
and a couple of inside pages.......
I've been doing a garden journal for several years. This journal is going to incorporate more daily stuff, along with what's happening in the garden.
While we talking creating, pictured below is a sneak peek of an envelope I've completed for the upcoming "envie" swap!
Here's hoping the snow storms end soon so the rest of the country can enjoy bits of spring color bursting from the soil!

Feel no guilt, though I know what you mean, since I planted parsley seeds today. Oh the guilt. I love the snow photos that blogger friends post, and how big our world is, with its different climates.
Your new journal is handsome indeed.
Ah, guilty, indeed. We've passed the half way mark for winter and have been told to change our long johns and prepare for the second half! LOL GREAT journaling! I hope you keep turning pages for us novices. And the envy, I mean envies!
Lovely flowers, lucky you-enjoy:@)
I love these little corcus's. they're so pretty and so is your creative work.
Oh, don't feel guilty for showing us some beautiful crocus, I would be showing these off to as many people as I could if we were fortunate enough to have some blooming. I love your journal idea, too, so very unique and a wonderful keepsake for future generations.
