August….already!

Wow!  Summer is two-thirds over, why does it always go so fast!

But, my journal pages are ready, and waiting, for August and I am sharing them by linking to Kate at The Kathryn Wheel!

IMG_2812 Yes, I’m writing over the heart!  Remember I’m the one who writes everyday in lines, not squares.  However, I just had a thought about how I could write in hearts on this page, may try that and see how it looks.  That was an “ah-ha” moment!

So, here is my second journaling page for August…….

IMG_2813 I’ve been trying to master sketching and using watercolor washes….practice, practice, practice!

My completed July pages look like this now………

The first half of the month the dog was scared to death of the fireworks going off in the neighborhood and the family spent the weekend at the beach.

IMG_2815 Maybe, that’s why the summer goes so fast…..there is sooooo many fun things to do.  You can see I saved memorabilia from our day at the Lavender Festival, the Salem Art Show and a visit to Champoeg State Park!  All are special memories and the reason I journal everyday!

I did hearts instead of squares in February, but I found it hard to stay inside them. Of course, I think you'll have much better luck. I like how you have your journal structured. I know this is what works for you and I applaud you.

I love the page where you did the rectangles and filled in days. Nice stuff!!!

Your journal pages are beautiful. The colors are so soft and pretty. Your calendar design is so different and I really like the way it looks. I bet it's easier to fill in as well, not being limited to a predrawn square. Very clever.
