Celebrating the first half of 2012……

Here it is the first of July, already six months into 2012…..where does the time go?  So, here I am sharing my calendar pages on Kathryn Wheel’s Calendar Challenge.

June is all filled in and looks like this……

I’ve had a pretty good six months…..lots of positive things have happened with my art and my family, I’ve taken some really cool on-line and in the classroom classes and I wanted to celebrate all of that.  So, I put together this special layout……”Celebrating the first 6 months of 2012”.

IMG_2547 I listed the classes I’ve taken under the flap and made note of some of “my favorite days” over the past six months, on the right.

With the flap back you can see I took a class, almost, every month and it was great!

So, now I’m off to journal July….

IMG_2551 This is my daily journal and garden journal…..so notice, I’ve already put a reminder in place to fertilize the roses on July 10.  I suppose I could have used a phone or my iPad to remind me, but what fun would that be!  The “Daisy” word is a practice piece for the lettering class I took from Joanne Sharp.

IMG_2553 This layout is for the last half of July!  Once again, my pages are not side by side and I don’t use the box format but I cram a lot of memories into this little journal.

Here’s wishing you, in the U.S., a Happy 4th and everyone a Happy July!

The art lettering class looks like fun. How cool to take a class a month. Your pages are great. I liked the paint strip idea. I'm still finding my way but I do like a monthly journal spread.

Lovely, colourful pages, and something different. Glad you have lots of positive memories for the first half of the year! Next time, tell me in advance when it's your birthday! Valerie

Your calendar pages look really different - I like that! It seems like you are cramming a lot of memories in your pages and they look wonderful. Half way through the year already, only 6 months to go!

Lots of fabulous pages :-) I keep trying not to use the box format for my 365Journal but can't quite pull it off - never quite sure what to go for and when I've tried something different it hasn't worked

Wow- I love how you incorporated your calendar with your journaling! I'm especially impressed with your "Daisy" page because I have JoAnne's class in mind next-once summer's over and I'm finished with my stamp carving class.

I especially love the heart and the tree branches. They are both fun looking. And wow, I can't believe the classes you have taken over the past six months. Lucky, lucky you!

Sorry I'm late getting here, but I had a computer meltdown and went out of town all in the same week.
